Forward Auction

The most popular type of auction. The starting price is set by the auctioneer and gradually increased by bidders. The winner is the participant that has placed the last highest bid.

Reverse Auction

The opposite to the Forward Auction. Participants bid progressively lower, and the last bidder with the lowest price wins.

Sealed Auction

This is a closed auction, where participants do not see bids. Bidders indicate their desired price and wait for the auction to end to find out the winner.

Texas Auction
